The Skillet Doctor is looking for an apprentice to learn how to restore and re-season vintage cast iron cookware. This person would help clean, restore and maintain lye and electrolysis tanks, help with re-seasoning cast iron skillets, Dutch ovens, waffle irons, griddles and gem pans. This person would help with cataloging the inventory of cookware coming in and going out. This person would help set up a pop-up tent and arrange a display at a flea market booth once a month. Some necessary skills: Basic building and power tool operation Basic cleaning skills Common sense People skills Healthy demeanor Positive helpful attitude Thinks on their feet Interested in the history of cast iron foundries (can learn) Be able to take directions Team player Clear Communicator All skills can be learned!
