Press release from the Town of Bedford: October 20, 2021 Special Town Meeting will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 7:00 P.M. in the Bedford High School auditorium. Masks will be required of all attendees, and seating will be arranged in a socially distanced manner with additional overflow rooms available if necessary. Doors will open at 6:00 P.M. All Bedford registered voters are eligible to attend and vote; the last day to register to vote in order to be eligible for Special Town Meeting is October 22. The warrant and other materials, including video presentations, are posted on the Town Meeting webpage. Article presentations will not be given in person, so attendees are strongly encouraged to review materials ahead of the meeting and/or loading them onto their devices. Bedford TV will be live streaming Special Town Meeting (YouTube.com/BedfordTVMA and Comcast channel 99/Verizon channel 40), but residents must be present in-person to vote on articles. Because the position of Town Moderator is currently vacant, a temporary Moderator will be elected as the first order of business at Special Town Meeting, and the position will be on the ballot of the Town Election in 2022.
