Press release from Albuquerque Public Schools: November 1, 2021 In anticipation of approval of the COVID vaccine for kids ages 5 to 11, families may now register their children for the shot through the New Mexico Department of Health External link . As soon as the vaccine is approved, families can self-schedule an appointment through the online portal.  In anticipation of the vaccine being approved for younger students, APS is co-hosting an event on Nov. 6:  Saturday, Nov. 6 8 a.m.-2 p.m.  Dolores Gonzales Elementary School, 900 Atlantic Ave. SW (a one-minute walk from the zoo). No insurance or identification is required. Please wear clothing that allows access to your upper arm. Vaccine recipients will receive: An Arts & Culture Pass that provides up to four admissions to the ABQ BioPark Zoo, Aquarium and Botanic Garden, Albuquerque Museum, and the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Museum Free Meals  (Food and passes are available while supplies last. One Arts & Culture pass per family or group of four.)
