MANCHESTER, CT — Candidates and voters in Manchester are ready for Tuesday's 2021 municipal election. Several seats in local government are up for grabs. Manchester also has a ballot question with a yes or no vote: SHALL THE TOWN OF MANCHESTER APPROPRIATE $17,250,000 TO CAPITAL ACCOUNTS FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING THE COSTS OF RECONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF VARIOUS TOWN ROADS, ROADSIDE ELEMENTS, SIDEWALKS, REPAIRS TO UNION POND DAM, AND AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE TOWN OR NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF SUCH BONDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $17,250,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION? Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 2. Voters who are in line before 8 p.m. will be able to vote even after the deadline passes. Voters can find your poll location at the Secretary of the State website by inputting local information. Voters can request an absentee ballot here or the can visit the town clerk's office. All voters are eligible to check the top box that lists "COVID-19" as a reason for requesting an absentee ballot.
