Description
Sacred Heart Academy is thrilled to celebrate its 75th anniversary with Holiday Inn! The beloved film classic comes to the Shubert Theatre stage in a charming crowd-pleaser for all ages featuring one glorious Irving Berlin number after another, each celebrating a different holiday. Holiday Inn will be directed by MaryLee Delaney, who proposed the idea after following guidelines from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Educational Theatre Association and the CT Covid Response Team. Delaney envisioned a joy machine, celebrating the SHA community through this classic musical. This is Delaney's 15th musical production for Sacred Heart Academy and she recently assembled a student company of 150 members to create this event. The performances are scheduled for December 3 at 7pm and December 4 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are available at the Shubert Box Office. Questions can be addressed to our director at [email protected] or by calling the school at 203-288-2309. This is a family friendly show and we encourage all in the Connecticut community to come and enjoy!! Further Details: Interviews and photo opportunities will be available. The lead roles are played by senior Brooke Sobolisky of Ansonia as Linda, senior Juliana Colonis of North Haven as Lila, junior Imani Okech of Derby as Louise and junior Emily Hortillo of North Branford as Charlie. Talented SHA girls will also be singing, dancing and jumping rope with help from their Dance Captain, senior Jenna Davis of Ansonia.
