LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Two 7-Eleven convenience stores were robbed in Sterling on Monday morning, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect. The sheriff's office believes the same man was responsible for both robberies, according to a report released on Monday. Deputies in Loudoun County initially responded to the 7-Eleven in the 700 block of W. Church Road in Sterling around 4 a.m. on Monday. There, a man had entered the store and demanded cash, police said. The man took cash from the registers before fleeing the store. As deputies were establishing a perimeter around 4:15 a.m., they received a report of a robbery at another 7-Eleven. The second 7-Eleven was located in the 46500 block of S. Cottage Road. The robbery at the second 7-Eleven was similar to the first. Authorities claimed that the man threatened a cashier before taking money from the registers and fleeing the scene. The robber was described as a Hispanic man who is between 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 6 feet tall. At the time of the robberies, he was wearing blue hooded-style jacket, a dark shirt, and dark pants. He also had dark facial hair. Authorities encouraged anyone who may be able to identify the suspect to call Detective McCormack at 703-777-1021.
