Description

DENVER, CO — There's still time for Denver voters to cast their ballots for Tuesday's coordinated election. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Colorado doesn't have a registration deadline, so voters can both register and vote on Election Day. If you are voting in person, you must be in the line before 7 p.m., officials said. It's too late to return your ballot by mail, but you can return it through ballot drop boxes and in-person vote centers. There are 41 ballot drop boxes across Denver, and they are secured by 24/7 video surveillance. "Engaging in democracy and casting your ballot in every election ensures your voice is heard and prevents a small group of voters from determining the direction of our city," Mayor Michael Hancock said in a statement. "We have some very critical initiatives on the ballot. So it's important that we all lean in and have our voices heard." Coloradans who will turn 18 on or before Tuesday can pre-register to vote in the election here. They will need a valid driver's license or Colorado State ID number to register online. Colorado has same-day voter registration, so even if you put it off until the last minute, you can go to a voter service and polling center with your ID, register, and cast a ballot on Election Day.
