PALM SPRINGS, CA — Community leader and activist Terri Ketover will be honored with the 444th star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars Tuesday.
The ceremony, organized by Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Tahquitz Canyon Drive and North Palm Canyon Drive.
Ketover is being recognized for work on numerous local boards and committees including the Annenberg Theater Council, the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center, DAP Health and The Palm Springs International Film Festival, chamber officials said.
Ketover has been recognized over the years for her work in community activism with a number of accolades, including the 2013 National Philanthropy Day Awards Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer of the Year honor, the 2014 DAP Health's 100 Women Award, the 2016 Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce's Athena Leadership Award, the 2016 AIDS Assistance Program's Gloria Greene Inspiration Award, the Palm Springs Women in Film and Television's Broken Glass Award and the 2020 DAP Health's Everyday Heroes Award.
She has also been recognized by the Florida House of Representatives and the White House as the founder of the international "Do The Right Thing" program.
Guest speakers at the dedication event will include former Sen. Barbara Boxer, photographer and producer Michael Childers, Tony-winning and Oscar- and Grammy-nominated lyricist David Zippel, DAP Health CEO/President David Brinkman, talent manager/director/producer Garry Kief and Palm Springs City Councilman Geoff Kors.
