NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department has released their incident blotter, which covered the department's medication take back program and multiple instances of theft
Below are listed all the incidents:
Saturday, Oct. 23
The Police Department held the National Prescription Medication Take Back. Their location collected 125.8 pounds of expired or unused medication. A total of 239.6 pounds of unwanted medication was collected from the department's "drop-box" over the last year.
Sunday, Oct. 24
A Wrightstown Township residence reported an attempted theft of vehicles. Police responded to the call around 8:45 a.m. The investigation is still ongoing.
Monday, Oct. 25
- A wallet was stolen from a victim at a Newtown Township business. The victim reported the theft at 9:30 a.m. The wallet contained approximately $300.
- Police were dispatched to a Newtown Township restaurant for the report of a stolen bike around 5:30 p.m. The bike was recovered, and the victim declined to press charges.
Thursday, Oct. 28
Police responded to a Newtown Township business for the report of a person with an active arrest warrant around midnight. The person was taken into custody after it was determined they had an outstanding warrant out of North Carolina. The subject was processed at Northampton Township Police Department and arraigned. Their bail was set at $250,000, and the subject was taken to Bucks County Correctional Facility.
