JOLIET, IL — Joliet police arrested a 27-year-old woman from Morris on felony drug-dealing charges after police say she crashed her car into the median late Saturday night. Tiana Berkey remained in the Will County Jail on Monday facing charges of possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver and possession of controlled substances. Bail was set at $50,000 for Berkey, who lives in the 5200 block of East Aux Sable Road. Around 10:15 p.m., a Joliet patrol officer saw Berkey driving recklessly along the eastbound stretch of McDonough Street near Joyce Road, police said. When Berkey made a left-turn on Joyce Road, she hit the median, according to police. "While speaking to officers, Berkey admitted to possessing cocaine and Xanax in the vehicle," police spokesman Dwayne English indicated. Joliet police searched the Morris woman's car and confiscated cocaine, Xanax and materials often used to package narcotics, according to police reports. Berkey was booked into the Will County Jail around 2:15 a.m. on Halloween.
