Oregon Vaccines For Kids Clinics At Eight Portland Public Schools

PORTLAND, OR — Now that vaccines have been approved for kids ages 5-11 years old, Portland Public Schools is putting a plan in place. Starting soon, the district will host clinics at eight of their schools. The district is working with Kaiser Permanente and Medical Teams International. "We know schools have long served as trusted community locations to administer vaccines rapidly and efficiently," the district said in a statement. The clinics will be held at: Boise-Eliot/Humboldt ElementaryCésar Chávez K-8Faubion PK-8Lent ElementaryRigler ElementaryRosa Parks ElementaryScott ElementarySitton Elementary While the district is still working out some of the details, they know this much: students will need to have a parent or guardian with them. The clinics will also have flu shots and booster shots available for the parents and guardians.
