BATAVIA, IL — A woman was extricated from a sideways SUV after a car crash near the intersection of Route 31 and Fabyan Parkway Monday morning, officials at the Batavia Fire Department said.
Thirteen first responders, including two ambulances, arrived at the intersection where the SUV and a minivan crashed, and the incident was under control in about 35 minutes, according to a news release.
Firemen arrived on the scene at 11:19 a.m. when they found the SUV on its side with a woman pinned inside, officials said.
After she was extricated, the woman, whose age the fire department couldn't provide, was taken to Delnor Community Hospital for evaluation. Officials said the woman driving the minivan was assessed and released on the scene.
The Batavia Fire Department cleared the incident with no further actions and turned the incident over to the Batavia Police Department.
