DETROIT — Oakwood Bakery permanently closed its doors Sunday after 109 years of business, according to a Facebook post.
"After 109 years, today is Oakwood Bakery's last day delivering to all retail stores!" the post said. "The family has decided to retire."
The family owned bakery was located at 585 South Waring St. in Detroit, and was best known for their freshly baked breads.
