SYOSSET, NY — There were 27 Syosset High School student-musicians selected as 2021 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Musicians. These students, selected as active members or alternates, will perform at this year's NYSSMA Winter Conference taking place in Rochester in December. The students are part of an elite group of approximately 900 student-musicians who were chosen from the over 6,500 students who auditioned statewide for this honor last spring. Syosset High School's 2021 NYSSMA All-State musicians are: Luca Alexandru (Guitar), Maxwell Bass (Tenor 1), Isabelle Chen (Cello), Kyle Cheng (Viola), Hunter Cohen (Bass 1), Sophia Daniel (Soprano 2), Evelyn Feusi (Bassoon), Tiffany Gao (Violin), Sabrina Guo (Violin), Alex He (Violin), Iris Ho (Clarinet), Alan Huang (Tenor 2), Claire Hwang (Violin), Kayley Ji (Soprano 2), Stamatia Katsaros (Alto 2), Kelly Kim (Violin), Stella Kim (Violin), Mako Kobayashi (Violin), Michael Lan (Viola), Amber Lo (Violin), Stephanie Massimo (Bass Trombone/Trombone), Noelle Melgar (Soprano 2), Anthony Park (Mallets), Claire Tong (Violin), Jynnie Yang (Cello), Christopher Zandieh (Alto Saxophone), and Shirley Zhu (Flute).
