Alaska Rent A Car, Inc. (An Avis System Licensee) is looking to hire a full-time AVIS Shop Assistant for our Fairbanks Airport location. Essential Duties: • Transfer company vehicles between Avis facilities, maintenance/repair facilities, and Fairbanks Airport. • Coordinate transportation of Avis vehicles between all Avis Alaska rental locations. • Communicate with vendors to ensure vehicles are properly maintained or repaired in a timely manner. • Operate shop equipment safely when performing maintenance of facilities and fleet. • Receive deliveries of parts or supplies. These items can be heavy, so careful lifting techniques are required. • Use of Microsoft Office applications to correspond with statewide Avis Alaska personnel. • Use of Company software and programs to generate/maintain reports, vehicle records, inventory, and company log sheets. • Communicate with Claims Manager to ensure claims procedures are followed. • Assist with damage claims documentation, organization, and investigation. • Keep all equipment, tools, and workspaces clean. • Assist with maintenance of all Avis Fairbanks facilities (indoor and outdoor). • May be required to assist customers with their rental vehicle and explain features.
