Vocalist/lyricist/guitar player looking to start a band. Chief among my influences are Elliott Smith and Nirvana, with others including Joy Division, The Doors, The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, Sex Pistols, The Rolling Stones, Death Grips, The Breeders, Helium, Stone Temple Pilots, Hole, and Alice in Chains (and many others). Apart from music, I am also deeply influenced by literature and film. If you have a similar music taste and/or are interested in trying to do something raw/visceral/unfiltered/off-the-cuff and perhaps loud, by all means feel free to reach out. Myself, I have been playing guitar for about 13 years now and have been writing my own songs for almost as long. I like raw energy, emotion, noise—but also good melodies, and in general I like to take an abstract approach to things. Ideally looking for like-minded people but I like to keep an open mind. I have a soft spot for alternative music from the 60s-90s that has an emotional bent, but I enjoy pretty much all kinds of music.
