We're looking for a friendly, reliable, driven person to add as an Event Chaperone to assist with various events at Court House Square in Downtown Tacoma. Much more than a post office, Court House Square holds three restaurants, a coffee shop, two 2,000 sq. ft. ballrooms, and dozens of local businesses. The Event Chaperone is responsible for providing support to the events and property management team, and clients of Court House Square. Responsibilities include but not limited to: - Hosting property tours, familiarizing clients and potential clients with property features, products, and services. - Preparing mailings containing sales and marketing information for current and potential clients. - Ability to follow instructions. - Successful execution of events from setup to teardown. - Collaborating with other team members in various job categories. - Serving as a liaison to the event manager to provide pertinent information concerning assigned events. - Willingness to maintain custodial work with a great attitude. Ensures that the lobby, bathrooms, event spaces, and hallways are clean, organized, visually appealing, and well stocked with all necessary supplies. - Make rounds and secure building during your shift. - Other duties as assigned. Requirements: - Strong sense of hospitality and customer service. - Highly organized, a self-starter, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is a must. - Proactive mindset and ability to think beyond the task. - Ability and willingness to pursue areas of concern or those lacking clarity until a forward path is clear. - Time management in working on tight timelines and multiple tasks simultaneously. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing priorities. - Experience in interacting with staff at various levels clearly and without conflict. - Handling sensitive matters with integrity and discretion. - Ability to engage with various personalities professionally and confidently. - Assist in the organization of event equipment. - Politely and professionally answer the telephone and greets clients. - Ability to move six-foot banquet tables and lift items over 50 lbs. You must be able to follow our dress code. - black or white button-down dress shirt - white or black polo shirt - plain black or khaki dress pants, tux pants or dark jeans - black dress shoes, and black socks. A proper uniform and a well-groomed appearance is a must! Must be flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, late nights, holidays, and weekends. Compensation starts at $16 per hour.
