My name is Riley Kennedy-Keys, and my passion is teaching people the amazing experience that is learning to play and enjoy music! Having recently relocated to NW Portland, I am currently taking on new students for either in-home or virtual lessons. I specialize in a strategy of student-centric, well-rounded instruction focused on both instrumental skill as well as greater music understanding and growth, grounded in my diverse background of Western Rock, Brazilian Samba, Steel Pan, West African Percussion, Songwriting and more. I am especially good at working with younger students, having generally maintained a teaching schedule of 10-20 students a week ages between 5-30+.
