Explaining the odd political tactics of the Regime ?

One doesn't have to experience too many national elections to see that today's Democratic Party isn't acting as our political parties have traditionally acted. If fact their behavior is beyond odd. Rather than try to win converts to their cause, they don't seem to care who they offend. Disastrous policies, abysmal approval numbers, and massive public backlash clearly has no effect upon them. And even though everybody, and his dog, admits that the Dems will get creamed in '22, the party acts as if there is nothing to fear. Why is that? Ever since Trump came down the escalator, the conduct of the Dems has been one of unbridled ruthlessness. Who believes they will regain their sense of scruples and take even the slightest risk that their "revolution" will be dealt a mortal blow by any election, even a rigged one? They claim that there was genuine concern in high places that Trump was planning to cancel the 2020 elections, declare martial law, and seize total power. Whereas the charge is not credible as far as Trump, it is very credible with the Regime. It will come before the '22 elections. Who doubts it?
