Moon Mountain Coffee, in Long Beach, is HIRING!!!! We seek motivated workers with a passion for quality and service who want to learn about the coffee world from production to the cup. We are unique because we grow the coffee that we sell on our farm in Costa Rica. We will train, some experience is preferred, but what we seek is mostly people with a desire to work and learn. With us you will learn about coffee production, processing, roasting, brewing, cupping, serving, etc. Coffee roasting courses are expensive, and we will teach you for free if you desire to learn! This is a great opportunity for people interested in entering the amazing world of coffee. We offer part time, flexible schedules for students or people who are just looking to make extra money. We offer PT weekdays (shop-production) and weekends (Farmers Market, Saturday, Sunday) but with the possibility of a FT position if you enjoy the opportunity. We are a family business, and each employee is important to us! The farmers market world is fun as well, all the vendors take care of one another, you’ll end up bringing home a ton of amazing fresh produce and other products. Farmers market sales Requirements: Most importantly you'll need a car (small SUV, truck, van) that can fit tables, a tent, minimum 8 cooler bags with drink pouches, coffee beans, a register, and for some markets a large Cambro coffee thermos. You'd need to pick up product at the shop and drop off at the end of the day, so the closer you live to the shop, the better for everyone. This job requires an ability to lift up to 50lbs. You basically need to set up your booth and tear down at the end of the day. Most farmers markets are 4-5hrs. We pay hourly plus a commission on your daily sales. This gig requires a high level of commitment and responsibility since that will become YOUR market, customers love seeing the same person all the time and getting to know them. Production workers Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs (kegs) Availability during the week in the mornings. Here you will be making our signature drinks packaging them for the farmers markets, as well as packaging coffee beans and grounds. This job pays an Hourly Rate only.
