Rex Flat-coated Retriever mix 4 years old, 63 pounds Neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped Rex was rescued from a kill shelter in North Carolina when he was six months old and he is now having to be rehomed due to an illness in the family. But he is described as sweet, lovable, friendly and well trained! Rex knows all his commands (has even learned hand signals) and he is housebroken and crate trained. He loves to romp and play in the backyard so a fenced in yard will be a requirement for his new owner. One of his favorite pastimes is cavorting with his best friend Hali, another retriever mix, so Rex would probably enjoy the company of another canine companion. Rex is a great dog with so many charming qualities. Our hope is to find him another loving family to help him adjust to a new home where he will be just as cherished and nurtured.
