Outdoor Cats in Need of Adopters *free, spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines*. The Portsmouth Humane Society has many community cats in need of adopters! Adopters outside of Portsmouth are also welcome. 😸 !!!THE ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED!!! 😸 Most community cats are feral/working cats who are untouchable and not yet socialized with humans, but some show potential to become more friendly once removed from the stressful indoor shelter environment. They also provide GREAT pest control! Most of our community cats are housed free-roaming in our shelter's cat colony room, where adopters are allowed to look and interact with the cats if they'd like. They are also all listed on the shelter website. https://portsmouthhumanesociety.org/adoptable-animals/ Available community cats are up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, FIV and FeLV tested negative, and spayed/neutered. A majority of our community cats are already co-housed and do well with other cats! We typically adopt in pairs but it is not a requirement. We also have several shy and special needs (FIV+, declawed, etc.) cats seeking indoor homes.
