Gigging band looking for upright bass

Meets

New York City NY

Description

We're a LES quartet of violin, guitar, synth/piano and drums in the vein of the White Stripes/Vampire Weekend, incorporating classical and jazz elements. We just played a few NYC gigs this summer/fall We're looking for an upright bass (or cello) player interested in playing scored arrangements alongside our classically trained violinist and piano player. Our music is influenced by indie, punk, rockabilly, pop, classical, jazz, blues, sometimes all within a single song. We have an album of material already written but would love to collaborate on the bass arrangement or let you write the parts if you're interested in that. If you just want to play a part that's written for you, that's cool too. Here's a song we performed recently at a show. It starts pretty, ends with a giant rock and roll build: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhYfTyGg9rs&list=PLCgne2jjShiJubD9PH-5G8IdRp-PQb8Ix Here's a video of one of our rehearsals (starts loud fyi): https://youtu.be/XvDQndTmKh0 And here's an album with more rock and roll inspired songs; https://rockpops.bandcamp.com/album/reverb-drenched-sunset-beach We're in our late 20s/mid 30s, have a mix of male and female band members, and are fully vaccinated. We've been in bands that have toured and played for hundreds of people around the country and internationally. This band plans on performing in NYC mostly.
