Iona's Kitchen presents The Give Thanks Community Meal. We are looking for volunteers to serve the community with us. Sign Up Today. On Thursday November 25th 2021 Iona's Kitchen presents The Give Thanks Community Meal. Iona's will be collaborating with other organizations such as "Just Love" Ministries, Seeds of a Father and the Orchard Covenant Church to serve the community. Chef Kelly Dobbins, the owner of Iona's Kitchen reported a goal of preparing 1000 meals to ensure that others have food to eat in celebration of family and community during these trying times. We are looking for volunteers to donate their time in shifts (whatever time you can donate is appreciated) to help us reach our goal. The first shift will work to pack to-go food containers for local organizations while the second and third shifts will work to serve individuals and families in a walk through fashion at the church. There will be 3 shifts to Pack To Go Food Containers: 1st Shift 7am - 10am (Iona's Kitchen 439 Main St, Indian Orchard, MA) 2nd Shift 10am -1:00pm (Orchard Covenant Church 95 Berkshire St. Indian Orchard) 3rd Shift 1:00pm -3:00pm (Orchard Covenant Church 95 Berkshire St. Indian Orchard) On location at the Orchard Covenant: To ensure the safety of all, a mask is required to enter the building, the meals will be prepared and packed up in to-go containers and the participants will exit through a different door other than the one that they entered. The meal is totally free. All the participants will need to provide is the number of people in their family and they will receive that amount of meals as well as desserts to go.
