Description

This class focuses on Integrative Abdominal Therapy and is open to all professional therapists able to legally perform massage on clients. Learn an ancient technique to heal your digestion, your reproductive organs and become a practitioner of this sacred work. This treatment focuses on deep abdominal and fascial integration which assists general circulation and improves your all-round health and well-being. It’s so much more than a belly rub! This is an experiential class, working holistically with mind, body and spirit. This class focuses on the anterior part of Abdominal Therapy. It’s open to all professional therapists who hold a qualification in anatomy and physiology and are able to perform massage on clients within the legal requirements of their country. While Abdominal Therapy for the anterior body is an effective stand-alone treatment, it is suggested that you complete Part 2, which allows both you and your client a greater insight and opportunity for whole body wellness. The class begins by giving you tools for your own self-care. As you experience this work in your own body you will gain a unique perspective of Abdominal Therapy’s effective techniques. Having established this work through your own experience, you will then learn to apply these techniques in a professional capacity to be offered to your clients. We offer a uniquely integrative approach to abdominal and pelvic health with focused anatomy and physiology webinars and in-person classes when it is safe and appropriate to do so. On completion of this course you are welcomed into our Collective community and will be able to offer Abdominal Therapy immediately. You will learn: The history and lineage of Abdominal Therapy. How to perform Your Abdominal Massage (YAM). Abdominal and pelvic anatomy and physiology. Common signs and symptoms of pelvic and abdominal conditions. How to perform Abdominal Therapy on your client’s anterior body. The importance of the emotional body on physical function. How to complete our Health Story consultation form. How to apply supportive techniques for specific pelvic and abdominal conditions. How to teach your client YAM and other supportive modalities. How the Abdominal Therapy Collective supports you to grow your business. On completion, you will receive: Certificate of attendance. One-year membership in the Abdominal Therapy Collective (for new members only). Access to our extensive educational resources. Ongoing professional support. Access to our clinical advisory board. Listing on our website. Access to attend Part 2 of the professional training. About Your Educator: I began my apprenticeship with Dr. Rosita Arvigo in 2000 after having suffered with a uterine and bladder prolapse and a laundry list of problems. These included most of the signs and symptoms of a displaced uterus. After studying Spiritual Healing and Professional Care training with Dr. Rosita Arvigo, I knew I would be doing this work on myself and others for the rest of my life. This work became my life’s work. I became certified in these Techniques in 2002 and became a Self Care Instructor in 2004. I am blessed to have helped many thousands of adults and children with the Abdominal Therapy techniques, founded by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia, over the last 20 plus years and countless others with Maya Spiritual Healing. I have been teaching classes in North America and throughout Europe, and Asia since 2004. I currently teach the Basics Series for non-practitioners, Abdominal Therapy for Professionals 1 and 2 as well as the Wisom Series 1, the Wisdom of Water, Plants and Prayer.
