Learn the first step in finding the coffee you want to roast. Learn from one of CoRo's teachers on the basics of using a sample roaster. CoRo’s Introduction to Sample Roasting is a 2-person group class providing an introduction to the first step in the roasting supply chain using our 2-barrel Probat BRZ. This class is perfect for anyone, from home roasters looking to understand how to make buying decisions and how to deal with green coffee importers to experienced roasters looking for a brush up on using our sample roaster! Here students receive an overview of roasting machine operations, including the Probat’s flame and fan speed controls, basic production logistics, safety procedures, and hands-on roasting of four batches of green on the Probat BRZ sample roaster. And on top of all the skills and knowledge, you leave the class with enough coffee to do a cupping of the coffees you roasted! Changing coffee together.
