Hot Spice Jewelry, a growing, locally handcrafted jewelry business in Austin, Texas is seeking a part-time sales associate for our weekend outdoor art markets located on South Congress Avenue! These markets are some of the best in Austin, with great foot traffic and customers who are looking to buy! We want you to be a sales superstar who can stay energized and engage with people visiting our booth. Must be available Fridays (10+ hours) and some Saturdays. Join our team and help us build our company! You'll have fun and make good money doing it! Requirements: • Customer service and/or sales experience (retail, restaurant, etc.) • Enjoys engaging with people, active selling, being outside, and having FUN! • Positive attitude, professional yet friendly demeanor, extroverted, and a sense of humor are a must! You will be the face of our business! • Must have great attention to detail and a desire to learn new things. • Strong verbal communication skills • Interest in local handmade goods and art • Good hand/eye coordination to make simple alterations for customers as part of some sales transactions • Smart phone is necessary to fulfill this position. • Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds - this position requires you to set up and break down the booth. • Reliable transportation is very important. • Being punctual, dependable, self-motivated, and self-managed are a must! • Pay is based on an hourly rate plus 10% commission.
