Seven Stars Arts Center is excited to announce a monthly music series hosted by Jim Rooney and Colin McCaffrey. November 19th at 7 pm starts the series off with their first guest, Chris Brashear, multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. Come on out and be regaled by these 3 fine musicians with music from the folk, country and Americana genres. Grammy winning producer Jim Rooney is best known for his work with Nanci Griffith, John Prine, Iris DeMent, and Hal Ketchum, to name a few. For over 50 years Jim partnered with the legendary banjo player Bill Keith, recording several landmark recordings together. Colin McCaffrey, Vermont producer and award- winning songwriter has become a regional “one-stop-shop” for high quality audio production, as well as heading up long time Vermont favorite band The Stone Cold Roosters and winning various song competitions including the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting Contest. Chris Brashear played with Robin & Linda Williams, who were regulars for many years on Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion.
