The goal of this course is to develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude to conduct NRA HFS Classes The goal of this course is to develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Home Firearms Safety Course. Required Materials:  Bring an empty 2 inch three-ring binder, highlighter, and a notepad. Bring your book you received when you took this class as a student. If you need a book they will be available for purchase for $25 the day of the class. This course is completed entirely in the  classroom while learning the knowledge and skills needed to teach the NRA Home Firearms Safety Course.  Roleplaying is a major part of an instructor course. Candidates take turns working in teams conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students. Prerequisites: you must have taken the NRA Basics of Home Firearms Safety Course as a student.  This class is available at Apple Valley Gun Club 11/6/2021 OR 1/29/2022. Pre-Registration is required at www.avgc.eventbrite.com You must have had Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last 2 years. If you need to take the Basic Instructor Training it is available at High Desert Firearm Training 2/4/2022 . Instructor Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for this level of training. You are not paying to automatically pass and become an NRA Instructor. You pay to have the opportunity to pass and become an NRA Instructor. AVGC members use the gate code for a $10 discount    All High Desert Firearm Training Classes are taught by experienced NRA, USCCA, Utah BCI, and CA DOJ  Certified Firearm Instructors.  Classes are located in Apple Valley or Victorville, CA.  Range time is at 1 of 2 local ranges.  All range fees are included in the cost of your class. We are located in the High Desert and serve Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley and the surrounding areas.  We are an easy drive from The Inland Empire, San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  We offer many group classes, individual training, and instructor classes.  If there is a class you would like to take that is not scheduled, please call, text or email us and we will set it up for you.  (951) 544-9190 [email protected]                                       951 544-9190            [email protected] out our website for more information.  www.highdesertfirearmtraining.com
