UPDATE: All lanes have reopened on the Merritt Parkway in Trumbull, according to state transportation officials. A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck, according to NBC Connecticut. This story will be updated when more information is available. UPDATE: As of 11 a.m. the highway is still closed at the scene of the accident. From State Police: #CTTraffic RT 15 (Merritt Parkway) northbound at Exit 49 in Trumbull, is shut down for a motor vehicle accident investigation. Please use alternate routes.
