Marriott Austin. Why it matters: This reception recognizes districts and campuses for getting students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and apply for colleges. It also recognizes local leaders in education.  Austin ISD Board President Geronimo Rodriguez received the Celebrating Our Community Leadership award at the reception as well.
