I am a perennial budget wanderer who takes trips to absorb the natural/man made splendors of the US. Road trips are best but we would need to take your car. I can drive and have a license as well as fund some of the gas expenses. Ideally we can couchsurf, boondock camp or crash at cheap motels. I have decades worth of budget traveling experience while hitchhiking, taking busses, hopping freight trains, touring with bands and or doing road trips. I write poetry, take cell phone pics and or create graphic design style art projects. I am not a trained artist but I do create and contemplate. I research histories and trivial minutia of many topics that interest me. Perhaps we can coordinate a set event as our destination in order to not wander aimlessly. I do believe that the journey is the destination however I sometimes like a timeline and direction. I am a married, celibate, nonsmoking and sober man of the xenial generation. Not seeking romance just adventure partners who could evolve into friends. Usually I befriend fellow intellectual and artistic people who are perpetual learners, love music's, philosophy, discourse, history, spirituality, art, literature. A sense of humor, curiosity and joy of living is optimal. Possible destinations/events on my bucket list radar could be The Rothko Chapel on its 50th Anniversary in Houston, TX on 11/6, and or some ATX, Big Bend, Terlingua, Marfa etc Maybe follow The Avett Brothers for a few dates in WV, AL, Asheville-NC Charlston-SC I have also wanted to do a visit to the Georgia O'Keeffe home, studio and museum as well as the Monastery of Christ in Abiquiu, AZ I am currently unemployed and have been on a traveling drought since before Covid due to past employment. I live in New Bedford, Massachusetts and can go on impromptu day trips to museums, nature hikes, urbex, concerts, gallery openings, exhibits etc. I can also take extended trips south, west and back for a few weeks or do round-trip. I don't do FB but I am on IG, LinkedIn, CS.
