I met you at the deli counter at Safeway on Housley Road, Annapolis this past thursday around 3pm. You walked up to the deli and the counter person asked you what you needed and you said "I believe he was here first". I said I was in no real hurry and for the counter person to take care of you. You noticed I wasn't wearing a mask (I did have the double dose of Moderna) and you told me how done you were with the mask thing. I replied that I think all of us were done with the mask thing. You mentioned that you were 52 years old and I said you were a youngster. You told me that a few of your friends had taken the booster shots a week ago and were having problems. I think you said one of your friends had suffered a fall and that you were not going to do the booster, I agreed with you and said I too wasn't going to have the booster shot. We parted and went separate ways. I felt you had more to say and that you had other concerns and worries. I wish I had talked to you more. I regret that. We as people need to listen to each other and let those concerns and worries out. It would be a better world if more of us listened to each other. We don't always do the right thing in the moment, I wished I had asked if you'd like to get a coffee and continue our conversation. If for some strange miracle you see this and would like to talk I would like to listen. I've thought about this for a few days now and decided to try this to reach out to you. I may be all wrong in this but I felt we had a brief connection. And this may seem pretty weird but I'm going back to the Safeway this thursday around 3pm just to see if you shop at the same time every week in the hope that maybe, just maybe, I might see you. I was wearing a military green ball cap with an American flag, I wear glasses and have the typical old guy moustache and goatee. In any case I wish you well, be safe, be happy. Al
