re I Truly Grieve For Our Country

Description

A parable: An urban businessman loses his business due to back taxes. He texts all his customers and exclaims: "Thieves have stolen the business. If you allow them to do it, they are going to charge you double! Stop them!" When his dull-witted customers storm the store and oust these rascals, the police immediately arrest them and they go to prison. The end. You grieve for the country. I grieve for those who swallowed a lie whole. I did fight for my country 52 years ago. By pure luck, I survived, and the government paid for my education. In adult life, I have had the pleasure of visiting many foreign lands. In some countries people cannot complain about their leader or their country as you do and take for granted. If they are foolish enough to try and even whisper a complaint, they simply disappear and are never again seen or heard from by their families. Shame on you, my friend. You should be able to look out your front room window this crisp autumn day and see you live in the greatest land on the planet, during the very best of times to be alive. And you have the audacity to be fearful of "what this country has become?" gmafb Now that all the freedom fighters who believed your president's lies are safely tucked away in prison, where is he? I can tell you. He used them, then spit them out as he has all in life. The real protection your family needed was from your blind loyalty to a treasonous man who convinced you to dismiss democracy, and install him as president against the will of the people. Harsh words I realize. I hope you will ponder them. I grieve because I have little faith you will. Good day, sir.
