VOLUNTEERS WANTED NOW THRU NOV 4 @ CINEMA VILLAGE Celebrating 10 years New York Shorts International Film Festival will feature 7 days IN-PERSON of exceptional international and USA cinema. Over 300 films will be part of our 2021 Official Selection, making New York Shorts the largest short film festival in America on the East Coast. The festival has established a tradition of discovering filmmakers who have gone on to receive industry accolades. ​ New York Shorts is committed to bringing the theatrical experience back to New York City. The festival has established a reputation amplifying underrepresented voices in short-form cinema from around the globe. Each year we rely upon dedicated volunteers to assist with various tasks at the festival. It’s an opportunity to contribute to the independent film community while making new friends and industry contacts. General volunteers assist with filmmaker check-in and box office. We are also seeking volunteers for event photography and film program host. What is a film program host? – a film host responsibilities include, welcoming the theater audience with a brief intro before the film program begins. After the program concludes, the host invites filmmakers to join them for a brief informal group Q&A, lasting 10-15 minutes. The host is responsible for moderating the discussion.
