This particular opportunity is for Atlantic PreFab, which was founded in 2015 and acquired by UFPI in 2020. We are a leading supplier of light gauge steel roof trusses. As well as a leading fabricator and supplier of light gauge steel prefabricated wall panels of various types and scope as well as custom off-site construction solutions. Atlantic Prefab specializes in commercial construction; retail, hotels, senior living facilities, education, medical, and more and are located in Wilton, NH We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of the maintenance department functions and programs. Directs and coordinates support services. Training and development of its employees. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; some creativity and latitude is expected; works under the supervision of a manager. UFP Industries: Atlantic Prefab: Principal Duties/Responsibilities * Assists in interviews and hiring processes * Orientates and trains maintenance personnel * Coaches, counsels employees, and initiates discipline as required * Evaluates performance of subordinates * Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to ensure proper equipment operation. * Identifies, researches and resolves problems * Coordinates maintenance activities with operating department's requirements * Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives * Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools and buildings * Develops, implements and supervises the plant's Preventive Maintenance program * Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings and other Company assets in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, manufacturing specifications, or by management request * Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates. * Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy * Prepares other reports as required * Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures * Performs other duties as required Requirements Knowledge * Post high school education is required * Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance area; 1 to 3 years of experience managing people * Working knowledge of electrical (up to 480v 3phase), hydraulic, control technology, understanding of PLCs, and welding/fabrication * Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules and regulations * Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices * Working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools * Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and other business software * Preferred understanding on company policies, practices and procedures * Must be at least 18 years of age Skills and abilities * Demonstrates ability to handle responsibility and be accountable for actions/decisions * Demonstrates ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams and operating manuals * Ability to recognize safe vs. unsafe working conditions * Ability to clearly communicate directions and expectations * Ability to plan, and organize the work of others, determine priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure and stress * Ability to identify problems and find viable solutions * Ability to understand and use basic math and numbers, and to use a computer, calculator, and telephone * Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English; ability read and write basic English * Ability to communicate with management regarding people, products and equipment * Ability to perform mathematical computations, write legibly, maintain records, give and follow oral and written instructions * Ability to manage personnel and address staffing needs, and to organize the work of others * Ability to be mobile in the work environment * Ability to pass a drug test * Ability to work hours mandated by management Conduct * Safety conscious and strong supervisory and interpersonal skills * Team player and goal oriented * Leads by example and has a positive attitude * Participates in Safety and CI programs * Looks for ways to improve productivity and department results * Punctual and reliable
