Explore the benefits of entomophagy (eating insects) and try tasty bug dishes for yourself prepared by Brooklyn Bugs Chef Joseph Yoon! FREE! RSVP required. Come bug out with us and learn about the many potential environmental benefits of entomophagy (eating insects)! Brooklyn Bugs Chef Joseph Yoon will be preparing a Bugsgiving picnic for attendees. There will be insect-based dishes, bug trivia (with prizes!), and riveting discussion about sustainable diets including insects! Please bring a lawn chair or blanket for the picnic. Seating is on the grass outside of 185 High Street. All patrons must adhere to and follow the University COVID-19 safety guidelines. Wesleyan requires all visitors to be fully vaccinated. All visitors will need to provide proof of having been fully vaccinated. Public health officials consider an individual to be fully vaccinated two weeks after their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Masks are required in all University buildings regardless of vaccination status. All patrons including children under the age of 12 will be required to wear a mask outdoors for the duration of Bugsgiving when not eating. By reserving a ticket, patrons over the age of 12 confirm that they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and will be able to provide proof of vaccination at the event.
