LivingRoom Realty is pleased to present and host Dreams Take Flights Join us on the evening of November 5th at 5:00 pm for the opening reception for Dreams Take Flight. This two-person show features paintings by Jared Joslin and sculptures by Jessica Joslin. It celebrates over 25 years of two kindred spirits, working side by side, pursuing their dreams. Jared Joslin is a figurative painter who has been devoted to his craft for over 30 years. His paintings are both exquisitely realistic, and deeply mysterious. He is a clever storyteller, whose symbolic scenes are flooded with luscious colors and rich details, enhancing the veiled undercurrents of each tale. Recurring fascinations are surreal circus themes, nostalgic and glamorous portraiture, and opulent floral still lifes. Timeless yet immediate, simultaneously enigmatic and direct, his work seems to have been painted by the feverish hand of a lucid dreamer. Each piece is an invitation, to enter his world and dream. Inspired by the beauty of skeletal architecture, and a passion for antique metalwork, Jessica Joslin began building her menagerie in 1992. Her creatures are intricate constructions of bone, brass, vintage hardware, and other scavenged treasures. Infused with the Victorian era’s passion for natural history and filigreed opulence, each piece reflects both the real and the imagined animal, the living and the dead. Through careful observation and intricate construction, they re-imagine the animal kingdom, bolt by bolt, beast by beast. Please RSVP Masks and proof of vaccination are required for entry.
