Position: Assistant Dockmaster
Job Summary (Expectations of Applicant)
Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with good team work ethic.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Boating experience required, background in sailing and powerboating
preferred.
Knowledge of boat and rigging repair/maintenance (i.e., replacing running/standing
rigging, replacing deck tackle, servicing sailboat winches, washing/waxing boats)
Experience with construction, electric and plumbing preferred.
Job Tasks (Expected to assist Dockmaster with the following responsibilities)
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of club dock facilities/equipment and dry
storage area, while providing service to members and guests who use those facilities.
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the J22 Fleet and Race Committee Fleet
including power, instruments, rigging, cleaning and repairs.
Responsible for launching and breakdown of J-22 fleet and Race Committee Fleet.
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Race Committee fleet (outboard
engine powerboats) including cleaning, and basic repairs.
Responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and operation of two hoists and mules.
Responsible for the upkeep and appearance of the race committee mark shed,
dockmaster’s office, tool shed and two storage containers
Meets, greets, and assists with tie up for all vessels visiting the guest docks.
Ensure RC boats are fueled with up-to-date engine service for all regattas/events.
