Condominium in Pompano Beach is currently interviewing for professional maintenance person with leadership experience. Must have at least 5 years prior experience in a lead maintenance role. The position requires leadership and communication in English and Spanish. Must possess at least 10 years experience in performing maintenance work (basic electrical, basic plumbing, concrete repairs, irrigation maintenance, drywall repairs, painting etc) Basically, we are looking for someone who has the hands on experience and willing to role up their sleeves. The ideal candidate has previously handled a similar role at a condominium. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with communicating effectively with building management is a must. The Maintenance Man is expected to handle both written and verbal communication in English with the building management. Management does not speak Spanish. The ideal candidate will be an English speaker who is fluent in Spanish to communicate with other employees and building contractors. Must possess strong leadership skills and experience to motivate and earn the respect of management. This skill is paramount to the success of the individual. This position is intended for a "Working" supervisor. This is not a desk job and the candidate demonstrating a strong work ethic and manage the day to day tasks. The candidate will also handle contact with building contractors and janitorial employee supervisory duties. Must possess the ability to multi-task and handle changes. This position is NOT an office job or for a casual observer. The candidate will be expected to work on assignments but know when to contact outside contractors for major repairs.
