JARI Presents: the Holiday Masquerade Gala, fundraising to unmask Domestic Abuse, and Youth Violence. The Jamaican Association of Rhode Island (JARI) presents: the Holiday Masquerade Gala, happening on Friday December 17, 2021 from 7:00PM -12:00AM EST. Please join us as we fundraise to unmask Domestic Abuse and Youth Violence here in Rhode Island. This event will take place in person at The Overlook at Meehan, located at 2 Governor Notte Parkway, Bldg #3, North Providence 02904.COVID-19 Protocols will be observed for this event, and we encourage you to sit near known family or friends. Live sounds and entertainment will be provided through a band and a DJ. Cocktails, dinner, refreshment and entertainment will be provided. The purpose of JARI is to support and advance the economic, political, social and cultural interests of Jamaicans living in Rhode Island. JARI will accomplish its mission by operating a non-profit organization that will be used as the basis to link, bind, generate support and foster, as well as build a sense of community for the Jamaican residents of Rhode Island. JARI members will participate in the life of the Jamaican community through activities such as support, networking, social and fundraising events, that promote the welfare of the Rhode Island Jamaican Community, and to facilitate communication/cooperation among and between the various segments of the Rhode Island Jamaican Community, elected officials, and community leaders in Rhode Island.
