Pediatric Lupus Awareness. Come have fun while learning how together, we can help children in our community who suffer from Lupus. What is Brookes Butterfly Bash & Why am I doing this... This event is for Pediatric Lupus Awareness because my beautiful daughter, Brooke lost her battle to complications of Lupus Oct 2017. She was just 18 yrs. old. It’s hard to express how difficult it is to be moving on without my day-to-day companion, my best friend, and my beautiful everything. So, for me, it's important to continue to share Brooke's story and take on a purpose of in honor of my child’s dream of helping children. The Lupus Foundation of America, Fl. Chapter has been partnered with me 3 years strong now. Why the Florida chapter?... because of people like Amy Yalden the CEO of the chapter, have supported me as they keep us informed of the continued success this chapter does for Pediatric Lupus patients. Since Brooke was diagnosed at the age of 15, I felt that was a direction I wanted to go, they keep doing great things. My newest Partnership is with TGH Foundation. Brooke was a patient Tampa General Hospital for years. The nurses and her Illness created a passion for Brooke, I remember in her saying in her sweet, determined, caring voice said “I’m going to be the best Pediatric Nurse out there”. How wonderful that the Foundation is creating a Fund in Brookes name! TGH’s involvement has given me the platform to help children in our community who also suffer from Lupus and our need help I felt so helpless with Brooke, I couldn’t save her. I will save another child; I want to help their families. ~~2022 THE BEST EVENT YET!~~ January 18th, 2022 6-9:30pm @ FLORIDAIN SOCIAL CLUB Downtown St. Pete Live entertainment by the Amazing THE BLACK HONKEYS BAND UNTIL 10PM!! Endless Fantabulous food . * Because Brooke was a loved employee of Green Lemon the CRG will provide food from Love Child, Ciccio Water, Daily Eats & of course Green Lemon.
