Enjoy a Sunday afternoon classical music concert by Sonora Winds, a trio consisting of oboe, bassoon and clarinet. Sonora Winds’ mission is to help audiences discover the joy of classical music. Sonora Winds brings classical music to life through concerts, interactions with composers and musicians, and live discussions. Sonora engages living composers to create music that then the group performs. It adapts its performances to individual audiences by including educators and presenters in the planning process. Sonora Wind’s focus is on introducing new classical music to vast audiences through intimate and engaging concerts. In introducing audiences to newly written classical music, Sonora Winds brings together listeners, musicians, and living composers. Though informative and stimulating interactions, Sonora Winds stirs in audiences a life-long curiosity of and joy for classical music. The Hastings Arts center is great place for our local community and a welcoming place for visitors just passing through. Our main goal is to continue to enrich the lives of all who enter our doors. We hope to transform more than just teach, and we hope to inspire more than just entertain.  The Hastings Arts Center is owned and operated by husband and wife, Travis and Sarah Lockwood. The "HAC," formerly Guardian Angels Catholic Church, features a performance and event venue, an art gallery, and a music school--Blessings Academy of Arts and Music.
