TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Halloween Parade is a go for Saturday night.
The Toms River Volunteer Fire Company 1 announced the parade will step off at 7 p.m. Saturday as scheduled.
A week full of rain and flooding on some downtown Toms River streets raised questions about the status, but the forecast is for weather that will cooperate with parade participants and spectators, and that led to the decision to move forward with the parade, organizers said.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain after 8 p.m., according to Accuweather.com, so paradegoers will want to be prepared. Temperatures are predicted to be in the upper 50s at the time the parade steps off.
If you are unable to attend the parade in person, Toms River Patch will live stream it on Facebook live. Click here and look for the live stream about 7 p.m.
