Full Job Description OC Delivery Direct is hiring individuals to work as temporary, seasonal Driver Helpers. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. It requires excellent customer contact skills and a lot of walking. As a Driver Helper you will not drive the delivery vehicle but assist the driver in the delivery of packages. Key Duties & Responsibilities: *Safely delivering packages to customers in a fast-paced work environment according to a daily, new route schedule while providing top-tier customer service *Working as a team *Assisting drivers in delivering bulk packages to high volume buildings *Making upwards of 300 deliveries per day *Riding with and working alongside a company driver while equipped with the resources necessary to meet team goals - resources include brand new Ford Step Vans and innovative GPS technology *Loading step vans (quickly and accurately) *Lifting packages up to 50 lbs in weight The ideal Driver Helpers (Amazon Packages) should meet the following requirements: Be at least 18 years of age and have a valid State I.D. or passport (driver's license is not required) Successfully pass pre-employment screenings and test (Background check) Be punctual and have excellent time management skills Available for an increased workload and overtime during the week of holiday season (October through end of December) Benefits & Scheduling: · Start pay $16.00 per hour · Paid Time off (Begins accruing immediately at start of employment!) · Opportunity for performance incentives and bonuses! · 10-hour shifts are typical but hours may vary depending on company needs · 4- day work weeks (40 hours) is typical · Shift begins at 10:30 am ends at 9:00 pm We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
