Press release from Portland Public Schools: October 28, 2021 If you have a child ages 3 to 5 that you would like to enroll in preschool, openings are available at the nine Head Start programs on Portland Public Schools campuses. PPS Head Start is a free preschool program that promotes the school readiness of children from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social and emotional development. Children are welcome to join mid-school year. The program is available at these PPS locations: Sacajawea (main office), 4800 NE 74th Ave. Applegate, 7650 N Commercial Ave. Clarendon Early Learning, 9325 N Van Houten Ave. Creston Annex, 4620 SE Powell Blvd. Grout, 3119 SE Holgate Blvd. Jason Lee, 2222 NE 92nd Ave. Kelly Center, 9015 SE Rural St. Sitton, 9930 N Smith.
