Moore, 54, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, for which there is no cure, seven months ago. The beloved longtime newswoman, who joined the WSB-TV newsroom in April 1998, is survived by her mother and three children. First, there's not much to worry about with tasty hauls collected by trick-or-treaters since contaminated surfaces aren't considered a major source of infection, said Dr. Henry Wu, director at the Emory TravelWell Center. "Just make sure their hands are clean while they're enjoying it," Wu said. Clean hands are also a requirement in handing out treats, he said, and mask-wearing could be a reassuring gesture. Finally, for anyone planning parties, Wu suggested keeping numbers low or the action outside. (CBS46 News Atlanta)First, the bad news: Huge Joro spiders, native to Asia, are back in Georgia in "extreme numbers," according to a recent USA Today report. But the good news is most of these massive arachnids - measuring up to 3 inches across – are expected to die by late November. While they could return next year – and in even larger numbers – Joro spiders are not deadly, generally aren't a threat to humans or pets, and won't bite unless they feel threatened, according to Paula Cushing, an arachnologist at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
