Good day, neighbors! It's me again, Kathy Cioffi, your host of the Atlanta Daily. First, today's weather: Partly sunny and warmer. High: 68 Low: 47. Here are the top stories today in Atlanta: President Joe Biden is being sued by seven Republican governors over COVID-19 vaccination mandates for federal workers. Gov. Brian Kemp is heading up the effort. According to Kemp, the mandate requiring vaccines for all federal employees and contractors places state agencies including the University System of Georgia and the Georgia Department of Agriculture "in an untenable situation." Joining Kemp and Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr in the federal lawsuit aimed at reversing the president's executive order are governors from South Carolina, Utah, Kansas, Alabama, Idaho, and West Virginia. (Atlanta Patch)The Atlanta Braves defeated the Houston Astros 3-2 at home Saturday night in Game 4 of the World Series. The Braves now lead 3-1 in the best-of-seven series, which means they're just one win away from their first World Series title since 1995. Game 5 is slated to start tonight at Truist Park at 8:15 p.m. Go Braves! (Atlanta Patch) Two pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle in Midtown Friday night. According to police, both victims, who were hit around 10 p.m. on 14th Street, were transported to a nearby hospital, where one was reported to be in critical condition. The driver remained on the scene, police said. (CBS46 News Atlanta)Atlanta Police are searching for 53-year-old Pamela Lisa Austin, who was reported missing by a co-worker after she was last seen at work about two weeks ago.
