Greetings ! We are a 6 piece general business band –drums, bass, guitar, keys, male and female lead--based out of Boston. We perform at formal weddings, corporate & private events throughout New England. Most of our repertoire consists of dance music from Motown to contemporary Top 40. We are looking for an experienced guitarist who has a command of playing these different styles, including jazz and to a lesser extent rock. Importantly, we do not consider this a real book gig. Charts are considered ok as a guide, but our expectation is that parts are learned reasonably close to the original recording and memorized if possible. Ability to sing back-up vocals is a big plus ! After auditions, we will likely hold several rehearsals for the 2022 season, but strong emphasis will be placed on preparation. We do not use rehearsal time for learning individual parts. A set list for a gig typically consists of 40 to 50 songs. Pay is competitive.
