Description
Our manufacturing company is looking for an individual that has hand-on experience with general maintenance and repairs for manufacturing facilities. Experience with mechanical systems and electrical systems including motors, motor controls, gear work, bearings, pulleys, etc. is a plus but not required.
Effective communication with supervisors and other employees is of high importance.
Everyday requirements of the job:
1. Assuring safety of equipment, personnel, and premises
2. Keeping all production equipment in good working order
3. Performing preventive maintenance as scheduled.
4. Housekeeping in the maintenance department
5. Position involves overtime; 8-12 hours a day is normal with the likelihood of a 6th day.
6. Opening on first and second shift available
The maintenance assistant will work with the supervisor on on-going projects. They will also be required to independently work on preventive maintenance projects.
As the work of the maintenance department affects all work areas and activity of the company, it is essential for the maintenance assistant to maintain a cooperative and helpful relationship with all company employees and to aid in creating a safe, agreeable, and efficient work place.
It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Assistant to actively assist in keeping the machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds in good operating order.
All new hires will be required to pass a drug test.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for all new hires.
